How much?

At the moment, discs are available from stock in black 7″ and 10″ sizes in a 1.5mm thickness, and prices for those are below. 7″s are available with standard centre holes or the larger ‘jukebox’ sized holes, no difference in cost there. Discs come in white poly-lined inner sleeves, and blank labels can be supplied on a sheet (see the FAQ about this).

Other options include 1mm* or 2mm thick transparent discs and 2mm thick black discs. 8″ diameter discs are also available, if your track is slightly longer than would comfortably fit onto a 7″. These are available in black or transparent, 1.5 or 2mm thickness. Bear in mind they might annoy DJs when they can’t fit them into their record boxes easily, and autochangers will have a hard time with them! All these options are to special order at the moment, so get in touch for a quote if you want something wacky.

* In my experience, the 1mm thick transparent discs are a pain in the backside to work with. They tend to be slightly warped out of the box, and can warp even more when subjected to any heat. These warps manifest themselves as increased surface noise, a very distinct whooshing noise in fact. I’ll do them if you really want, but I’d recommend you only use them for one-sided applications, as then I’ve got more of a chance of getting one side of it flat enough to cut nicely. If you want a two sided disc, please consider shelling out a bit extra for the 2mm versions.

Also note that 10” prices quoted here are for discs making full use of the space, a four tracker, mini album or whatever, probably running at 33rpm, 10-12 minutes per side perhaps. If you’re after more of a 10″ single (i.e. one track per side that just falls outside of fitting on a 7″, running at 45rpm) then it can be cheaper. Tell me what you’ve got and I’ll tell you what I can do for you.

Hang on… you want more than 40 copies of something? It’s not out of the question at all, but I have to take them on a case by case basis. Again, email me and we can discuss things.

Oh yeah, you probably guessed already, but postage and packaging is extra. In mainland UK, that could range from a couple of quid for one 7″ in a mailer, up to £25-odd via the Post Office for 100 7″s sent first class insured. I can happily send overseas, but it’ll cost what it costs. I’ll always try and get stuff to you in the most economical way, and I won’t scalp you in the process, but I’d prefer not to use ‘cheap’ couriers who might stick your expensive records straight in your recycling bin on recycling bin collection day…
